Noveno: A Place for Modern Living

The Noveno groundbreaking occurred on Thursday, September 21st and our plan is to keep the community informed of our progress as we go.

The architecture blends themes from Craftsman, Mission, and Bungalow styles for a contemporary expression of mid-century modern inspired by the colors and textures of the Central Coast landscape. Special features include community-centered grand Parkways, access to walking and bike paths, solar PV ready homes, and attached garages pre-wired for electric vehicle charging.
Noveno is an approved community within the Orcutt Area Specific Plan outlined by the City of San Luis Obispo. The Abbott | Reed team is serving as local developer and builder of the project in joint venture partnership with Resmark Land and Housing. The journey to get where we are today wasn’t an easy one. In fact, Noveno is over two-decades and 17 public hearings in the making. Through it all, Abbott | Reed has been fortunate to work with innovative collaborators at RRM Design Group, Rick Engineering Company, and Summers Murphy & Partners.

NOVENO – NEW SAN LUIS OBISPO COMMUNITY TO BREAK GROUND SEPTEMBER 21st, 2017
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA, September 18, 2017— After more than 20 years of planning, Abbott | Reed is excited to break ground on their most ambitious project to date – Noveno, a new development of 67 single-family homes, pedestrian and bike paths, parks, and open space at Orcutt Road in San Luis Obispo, California.
Located near the ninth peak in the mountain chain of Nine Sisters, Noveno (‘ninth’ in Spanish) is a place for modern living where the evolving needs of San Luis Obispo families are met with flexible floor plans and community-centered design. Starting from the mid-$600s, Noveno’s Avenue and Parkway homes range from 1,600 to 2,500 square feet and are available in 10 design options. One and two-story floor plans are available and all homes are solar photovoltaic ready with attached garages pre-wired for electric vehicle charging.
Inspired by the colors and textures of the Central Coast landscape, Noveno is a contemporary expression of mid-century modern architecture. Residents will benefit from proximity to work and play, as Noveno is less than 10 miles from the coast and only minutes from scenic hikes and San Luis Obispo wine country. According to Abbott | Reed Vice President Aaryn Abbott, “Noveno will begin accepting reservations in spring of 2018 and we expect an enthusiastic response from professionals, growing families, and active retirees alike.”
